KSK BONO s. r. o. was established as a 100% Czech company in 1990 although the beginnings of its activities can be dated back to 1988.

Over this time it has gradually managed to become the largest Czech manufacturer of food for dogs and cats and products from the BONO, IMPULS, JOLY and PETTY ranges are able to ensure quality nutrition for all breeds of dogs and cats during all stages of their lives.

The company introduced the new premium product line No.1 Premium on the market in 2006. High-quality, healthy, complete and balanced nourishment corresponding to the given breed, age category and activity of the dog or cat are the fundamental factors influencing the high requirements for food quality. No.1 Premium is a complete food consisting of high-quality raw materials that takes into account the specificity of the individual periods of animal development at the highest possible level. It contributes not only to natural activity, but it also supports longevity of your favourite four-legged companion. 

Manufacturing

Modern manufacturing technology, careful sorting of raw materials used, a tried and tested recipe and careful output checks guarantee the highest possible quality of our products. Manufacture of extruded food begins with careful selection of raw materials. Extrusion itself is carried out on the new American extrusion line manufactured by the WENGER Company, which is fully automated and allows for manufacture of the most precise and smallest shapes of extruded food as well as precise colouring.

Another supporting manufacturing programme of KSK BONO is full-meat canned food for dogs and cats. The manufacturing technology is the same as that used for cans manufactured for human consumption.
Cans are manufactured in two varieties – lunchmeat and with chunks of meat. A no less important manufacturing programme is the manufacture of “sausages”. This concerns full-meat cans, containing more than 75 % fresh meat, the difference being that they are filled into plastic packaging. 

Quality guarantee

The manufacturing process is carried out under constant veterinary control by the State Veterinary Administration of the Czech Republic and subject to control by the Central Institute for Supervising and Testing in Agriculture in Prague while adhering to strict hygiene conditions.

KSK BONO s.r.o. has also gained a quality certificate according to ČSN EN ISO 9001:2000 for development, manufacture and sale of dry and sterilised food for dogs and cats and is one of the founding members of the Unie výrobců krmiv pro domácí zvířata (Pet Food Union). Membership by manufacturers in the Union guarantees a constantly high quality of products. 

Certificate IFS issued for KSK BONO
On 22 December 2009, KSK BONO s.r.o., one of the leading Czech distributors and manufacturers of food for dogs and cats, has received the International Food Standard (IFS) certificate.
International Food Standard (IFS) is a common standard for food safety, which uses a uniform rating system to evaluate and select qualified suppliers. It helps vendors make sure that the products they sell are safe, while enabling them to monitor the quality level of manufacturers producing brand name food products. This standard is applicable to all stages of the production processes, utilizing agricultural and manufacturing food processing.

Our advantage is a very favourable location in Central Europe. We use the EDI system as standard during commercial relations with chains. We offer a full and complete product range of dry and wet food for dogs and cats with the possibility to manufacture the goods under a private brand. We guarantee flexible supply of goods in small of large volumes.

Help for abandoned and maltreated animals

KSK BONO s.r.o. is the main sponsor of the Liga na ochranu zvířat (Animal Protection League), which helps animals in distress, that have been abandoned or maltreated or that are otherwise suffering.
